This could possibly be Floyd's best song ever written. Often underlooked...Glimour and Wright's dual vocals, the gliding fluidity of the |''|echo|''| effects that Wright used on his keyboards at the beginning intro, Gilmour's multilayered solos, Waters bass grooving throughout the entire track (as a bass player he will always be my favorite - for a number of reasons), and Mason holding everything together with excellent timing as always. Bands like Floyd just don't exist anymore. That isn't to say that there aren't good musicians these days...there are. Here's the thing - very few of them are on the same level as Pink Floyd. The is in essence a musical journey...and if you happen to be partying while listening to Echoes (as many of us have) - This is all that I can say...Have a good time  |

the most underrated song of all time...thats what it is...not only is it the best song by Pink Floyd its the best by any band and by a far distance.... stairway to heaven is miles away in comparison.... this song is one complete trip...it is truly the soundtrack for a journey in space... and whats more you can do it just sitting in your room with your eyes closed...... this song has the power to heal sanity if you know what i mean..... | ||

Agreed, Pink Floyd were on a level that very few ever reach, yet they seem to be very rarely credited for their music. I'd like to believe that i will hear another Pink Floyd in my life time, but think this is unlikley. Long live the music and beauty of Pink Floyd | ||

Agreed, Pink Floyd were on a level that very few ever reach, yet they seem to be very rarely credited for their music. I'd like to believe that i will hear another Pink Floyd in my life time, but think this is unlikley. Long live the music and beauty of Pink Floyd | ||
