these lyrics were removed

At request of the band Evanescence and lead singer Amy Lee,
all websites containing the lyrics or mp3 to the song "You"
are supposed to remove said lyrics or mp3s immediately.
The song was never supposed to be released,
it was a personal song dedicated to her friends and family...
The band has made many announcements on their official site
to please stop circulation of said song.

You isn't an Evanescence song. It's an Amy Lee song. She did it by herself. And it's not forbidden. I have no idea where those rumours came from, but Amy Lee has never made an official statment about it in an interview or on evanescence.com. A post that no longer exists that we can't prove ever existed made by someone claiming to be in the band shouldn't be treated as fact. If you still believe it ask yourself this: why would a love song about an ex-boyfriend be too personal to get out, but multiple songs about her dead sister are fine and dandy? Some of those are actually pretty creepy too (see Like You). I believe the song you may not have been intended to be released by I honestly don't think Amy Lee care about it getting out now. Besides, if Amy Lee wanted to use the internet to make her request for the song to be forbidden, why not use the band's official website? Why use a bunch of forums where it can't even be proved she's the one making the claim when the band has such a nice website?

I think this is one of her best songs. But it shouldn't be posted. this song was meant for her ears only. she never wanted it to get out. whoever put this song up should take it down.

These lyrics shouldn't even be seen. I didn't even read them, and i don't want to. I'll never listen to this song either. people posting this song just to get kudos obviously have no respect at all for Amy.

I agree.... This is one of her best songs.... I've listened to it but its not right for peopleo go against someones wishes and put lyrics to a song that was never meant for us to read up on a website. Whoever did it needs to take them down.

Take these lyrics off the Internet.Amy meant for this to be her own special song,not something people can rip on about how great it is..She's been through alot,and people like you,posting this,don't help whatsoever.

amy lee acts as a is a meda whore. i think she leaked this and then revoked it when ben was gone to get even more attention. boo hoo for amy. the lyrical content was better with ben and i hope that he gets his own band. when i first heard her new stuff i was like what is this crap. i notest a huge differance in her singing and obvously in her lyrics. God is sending a clear message to her that with out Him she will flounder. she needs to turn back to Him. and if she turned from Him be cause of Ben thst should send a clear message to her fans and the peaople who truly enjoyed her insparation to the lost, lonley, and one who have felt as if they had dissapeared. God was working in her and she has turned her back on Him who created her and wanted her to lead many of His lost back to Him. shes right it was a ben thing and it is over, for her any ways. if ben hurt her she should get rid of ben (a meer man) not God. and she should know that she will never be denied Christ even if she denies Him. i Pray for her as should all christians lost, found and even those who felt rejected. ani difranco said it best if you dont live what you sing about your mirror is going to find out... i pray that God for gives her and all who asks Him to...

I like The Open Door very much; it rivals Fallen...whaddya rambling about, Oyrsimaja? You're talking about Amy as if she were Jesus?

And everybody has written something variation of this song before. It's nothing new, however personal.

Although I think that this is a beautiful song...I have to agree with lithium...it's true that Amy has been thru alot and these lyrics should be taken down...tehe...I sang this to my fiance...it was beeee u tiful...
