Hello, I am Maura Rush Fogelberg. The song |''|Longer|''| was written by Dan for my 17th birthday present. On May 9, 1971, Dan sang this song to me in the auditoriom of Spring-Ford High School in front of the entire student body. It was a surprize that has become more endearing as time has passed. | ||

HMMM? Maura, this sounds like a nice story, but I find some things confusing. The song Longer was released on his album, PHOENIX, in 1980, I believe. In fact, Dan's first album, Home Free, came out in 1972. All this precedes May 9, 1971. Granted, a song can be written many years before it's released, and this could certainly be the case. But to me, it just doesn't add up. Would you like to reveal who you are, and your relationship to Dan? |
